I. JOB SUMMARY
Manages the resources of the company including manpower, machines and materials to maximize efficiency and profitability in compliance with the Quality, Environmental and Safety Management Systems. Acts as a coach for team leaders and associates. Meets customer demands through service, quality and delivery.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads Kaizen activities in the most efficient manner using PDCA cycle to improve/enhance QCDSM initiatives.
Provides tools, machines, procedures and processes for Team Leaders and associates to ensure that each product meets 100% quality standards.
Ensures departmental expenses are within planned budget.
Creates a workable schedule between the number of products needed to be produced and hours to be worked that will allow timely production and delivery of products.
Supervises and trains team leaders to involve all associates in 5S, safety and quality practices.
Maintains good morale through associate involvement and participation.
Conducts regular safety and 5S meetings and inspections in order to provide a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
Provides and maintains optimal labor management.
Understands and administers company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
Provides accurate and timely communication and information to team leaders and associates.
Participates in internal auditing for Quality, Environmental and Safety Systems.
III. SCOPE OF JOB
Directly supervises all Team Leaders within the respective areas.
Responsible for operating within budget constraints.
Responsible for coordinating the establishment of production goals within the respective area.
Promotion of company activities such as Employee Involvement and the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
May require some travel.
Other duties as required.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Requires a High School Degree or GED equivalent; preferred college degree or its demonstrated equivalent.
Requires 3-5 years of manufacturing experience; preferably with previous supervisory experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively with outside resources and all levels of internal resources in both written and oral format.
Must have proficient math, technical and analytical skills.
Must have previous auditing experience (i.e. Quality and or Environmental)

V. QUALITY/ ENVIRONMENTAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the job responsibilities to perform, monitor and control the processes.
Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to the assignment and make recommendations to improve the process.
Notify Management immediately when problems or non-conformances are detected.
Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken.
Assist in the problem solving process, corrective action and prevention activities.
Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material.
Learn, understand, communicate and practice the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
Play an active role in achieving and maintaining the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
